Understanding Training Status

The five statuses that tell you exactly where you stand in your plan.

A friendly GPS for the week

Just below the daily card on Just5K's home screen, you'll see your Training Status — a one-line read on how the week is going. Think of it as a friendly GPS for the bigger picture: while the daily card answers "what should I do today?", the Training Status answers "how is the week shaping up?".

It updates based on the workouts you finish, how your heart responds, and how much you've been resting. There are no "bad" statuses here — just honest guidance.

Your Five Statuses

On Track

You're following the plan as designed. Keep doing what you're doing — consistency is everything right now.

Crushing It

You're ahead of schedule! Your body is adapting faster than expected. To keep things interesting, the app may suggest slightly more challenging intervals.

Rest Up

Your body needs more recovery. This might show up if your heart rate shows you are tired, or if you've been training days in a row. Take a rest day — it's part of the plan.

Tip: "Rest Up" isn't a bad thing. It means the app is protecting you from overtraining, which is the fastest path to injury for beginners.

Getting Back

You missed some workouts and the plan has adjusted. Don't worry — the app recalibrates so you pick up right where your body is ready to start, not where you left off.

Lace Up

Time to get moving! You haven't trained in a while, but your next workout is ready and waiting for you.
